When I joined my first network marketing adventure, and it was an adventure, the process was to go to training classes and the facilitators would brow beat everyone in attendance about making their appropriate number of calls every day in order to garner new representatives. There were also practice calls and 3-way calls and each call seemed more demoralizing than the last.

In many cases the people who we were calling to talk about the opportunity were just not interested anyway. These were about as cold of calls as one could make. Each “no” was taught to be “not now.” In essence the process was horrible and demoralizing due to the rejection or my super product (or service).
