Can a Not-For-Profit Business Succeed in Network Marketing?

I know that in some not-for-profit churches, synagogues, temples, schools, clubs, and other entities that need donations and contributions for their existence, there is a great need to have outside income. Today, this may involve car washes, bake sales, dinners, breakfasts, cookies, popcorn, candy, etc. These entities could always use the extra money for either operating expenses or position itself to buy something of need.

What if you or your not-for-profit entity were in network marketing, and that company provided health and wellness products for sale? Would you be able to market the products to your members?

Here are a few examples from my experiences.

• There was church in Fort Worth that had coupon books to various stores. There was more than one church involved and the stores advertised discounts in these books and the churches received a small rebate for the use of the coupons. This gave the church added income for additional projects that they may not have been able to afford.
• When I was in Excel years ago, I knew a representative that worked with a Boy's Club to provide them with the knowledge to market telephone services. As the telephone growth expanded, the Club received more and more dividends from Excel, enough to build a outdoor basketball court and furnish outdoor materials for after school kids.
• The last example was a private school in South Florida. They were faced with rising operating budgets and were going to have to combine classes and layoff a few teachers. They also enlisted a network marketing company and the faculty and parents joined in with their friends to be able to fund the retention of 4 teachers.

What are the options?

The options are the same if it was a not-for-profit entity or an individual. GET THE FACTS. Do not waiver in the due diligence of the research. Someone will have to approach the members to facilitate success in this endeavor. There are financial rewards for this process. Like the Excel business most everyone has a telephone and like Nussentials, most everyone takes vitamins or supplements. You need a product or service that excludes no one and that everyone already has or uses in some form.
